About Brenner Executive Resources, Inc.

 

Mike Brenner began specializing in executive coaching of senior executives in 2001. He works with individuals and teams always focused on managerial excellence and always customizing the program to the specific individual or team. He coaches to support the general development of senior executives, to enhance the performance of highly valued executives below their full potential and to build high performing teams. He has served clients in technology, financial services, media and manufacturing. He is a Certified Master Coach and has worked with hundreds of executives from CEOs to Vice Presidents to Directors (see Our Clients for a representative list of titles of executives whom he has coached). Because of his diverse and extensive business experience, his coaching focuses on solving business problems by connecting management style and business performance.

Before he began is work as a coach, Mike had extensive career achievements in human resource consulting, academia, and information technology. Active in human resource consulting for over 20 years, he has had extensive experience in handling senior level executive searches and has participated in engagements in performance evaluation, compensation, and staffing. He also spent three years as Associate Professor of Management at the graduate business school at NYU and started his career in information systems at Bell Telephone Laboratories.

Along with operating his own firm, Mike was appointed Regional Managing Director for executive coaching for the New York area of Korn/Ferry International in 2004 and now continues to serve as a Senior Executive Coach for Korn/Ferry clients.

Mr. Brenner earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management at the Sloan School at M.I.T. and a Doctor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering with a minor in psychology from Johns Hopkins University. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a Second Lieutenant. Mr. Brenner has attended coach training with the Behavioral Coaching Institute and Coach Training Institute and is a member of the International Coach Federation. He has been an invited speaker on executive coaching at professional conferences and universities. He was a charter member for over 20 years of the Human Resource Executive Forum, was a member of SHRM and served as President of the New York Chapter and is active in the Society for Information Management (SIM). He formed the New York Executive Coaching Network in 2006. Mr. Brenner is also President of the Board of Directors of Fedcap, a not-for-profit organization with an annual budget over $60 million that trains and employs individuals with disabilities.
